Join us for a virtual artist talk with Moozhan Ahmadzadegan, presented by the UBC Okanagan Gallery. Ahmadzadegan will discuss his artistic practice and current projects on display throughout the Okanagan.

Ahmadzadegan’s textile work Where Are You Really From? was recently featured on campus in the FINA gallery as part of Rooted Sentiments exhibition. His work Untitled Portrait #1 is part of UBC Okanagan’s Public Art Collection and was recently on display at the Vernon Public Art Gallery as part of the Ramble On exhibition, curated by Dr. Stacey Koosel.

Moozhan Ahmadzadegan

Moozhan Ahmadzadegan is an emerging artist based on the unceded and traditional territory of the Syilx people, also known as the Okanagan. He received a BFA from UBCO with a major in Visual Arts and a minor in Art History and Visual Culture in 2019.

In addition to his art practice, Ahmadzadegan is experienced in art administration and community engaged projects. He is a co-founder of the Laundry Room Collective, an artist-run collective that works to provide accessible arts and culture programming, support emerging artists, and foster diversity and inclusion.
